SuperCoach is far more interesting for me as of last year. I could care less about DreamTeam.

I imagine I'll end up doing both anyway though. And because of my feelings, will probably do better in DreamTeam.

Yeah, im a similar way. I think i prefer Dream Team, cause the scoring system is less complex and easier to understand, but i usually do better in Supercoach.

Changes for this year.


THE GAME GETS BETTER
SuperCoach is the only fantasy football game in Australia that rewards the best players, not just the best stats collectors. We've made two changes for this season:

UPDATE: By popular request, we've updated SuperCoach to allow for more flexibility. If you have a forward who was selectable as a defender AND a defender originally also available as a forward, you may now substitute the two between positions, without costing you a trade.

The only other change we’ve made is to eliminate an anomaly.

This year, players who are in the starting 22 for any match AND score a 0 for any reason (such as an injury early in the match), will NO LONGER be replaced by an emergency. Their 0 score will also have an affect on their value, being recorded as having played a game.

But the exclusive Champion Data scoring system remains the same as before, meaning the best players get the biggest scores.

Rolling lockout tonight so you only need to make sure you pick the Richmond/Carlton players you want. The rest is locked out friday night giving you more than 1 hour to see the teams before it is locked out. Very happy.

Why trade him in if you're that confident he'll only score 70? He would have gone down about $100,000.

You traded him in because he is the best player by a mile and also the most consistent player by a mile. Thats why it was one of the most foolish moves ever. Just like in DT a couple of years ago you traded out Swan after averaging about 120 and he got 90 or something. Shay wrote a song about it.

Back when Barlow was still cheap i had a choice of trading Vince, Swallow or Mitchell. I traded him in for Swallow (massive mistake as he has been getting hundreds) and i ended up trading Mitchell later on because he was going pretty slow and was going to miss a few weeks because of injury. Just to rub in Mitchell got a massive score against Richmond today and VINCE is still under performing! You are so traded Bernie!

Back when Barlow was still cheap i had a choice of trading Vince, Swallow or Mitchell. I traded him in for Swallow (massive mistake as he has been getting hundreds) and i ended up trading Mitchell later on because he was going pretty slow and was going to miss a few weeks because of injury. Just to rub in Mitchell got a massive score against Richmond today and VINCE is still under performing! You are so traded Bernie!

I would just like to point out that Gav and I just had a look at his Supercoach to discover that Gavin actually traded Swallow for Barlow in round 3.

That really doesnt make much sense. Regardless of whether or not the VC does well, you'd still have to pick a captain who would get the double score instead. Unless you had a player who you knew would not be playing and you HAD to put him in the starting 22 (thus being 1 player short), then you could make him captain and the get your VCs score doubled, which would only work if the VC scores highly and you have a certain 0 coming up for one of your players.

Personally, i'd rather have the full 22 playing.

Actually, you could make it work, but you'd have to get a really lucky guess on the VC, like him scoring 200 or something. Then you could safely sub out a player who only averages 50 or so for a non-playing rookie, make the rookie captain and you'd get more then if your usual captain scores 140 or whatever.

But really, its a pretty weak loophole, not like everyone can exploit it.

The idea is to make someone in the 1st week your VC and someone in the 2nd week your C.

If the VC scores 60 in the case of Hodge, just leave it how it is so your C will come into play.

If your VC scores heaps i.e Barlow then you swap your captain with a non playing bench player. The captain scores 0 and thus the other player is used.

Obviously you need a non-playing bench player, which i dont have :P
