on the legal side though, i would personally like to have bnetd lets say on the ipgn hosting one server because then we can all join and then we have an ipgn ladder to see who is the best if you get what i mean, though i will still buy this game because it will be so good.

well when i have the money i can purchase it :) but i dont see the point when blizzard are too tight to offer any sort of decent setup here in australia so us dialup's can take advantage of it, should ipgn host one, i would gladly purchase the game regardless of whether or not it had cd key checking, which reading from the article will never happen due to the cd keys being property of blizzard

actually solstriker, the strategy style games from blizzard only use bnet to connect up X number of computers, after that it is run from peer - peer.
so basically it doen't matter where the server is set up as long as you can connect to an australian player it will be fine.
after the match is finished, the results are then sent back to blizzard so they can keep a record of your score. simple as that.
cool cause unless some generous person here (wink wink) would give me a cd key then i will have to play on bnetd
This was the sort of thing that Blizzard were worried about. Striker this is not a warez board. If you want a CD-Key then either go out and pay the money for the game, or go to some other forum and ask this kind of question.
As for a bnetd server, once I am 100% sure there will not be any legal issues regarding this, I will consider running a server. It will depend a lot on how many system resources it chews through though.

shad doesn't like jokes.
well it's not he doesn't but idiots (i am not referring this to you solstriker) always take them to the extremes and just stuff up the friendly environment that once was.:(
eg. someone might start complaining about someone talking about cdkeys
