Does anyone ever watch this? It's on at 10:30pm Monday nights (in Melbourne, at least, not sure about other states) on channel 7. It's another one of those instances of the ABC losing one of their top rating television shows to a commercial network. But rather than GNW moving to Ten, now it's The Fat moving to 7.
Now admittedly, I never really got into The Fat while it was on ABC. I'd watch it occassionally if it happened to be on TV while I was in the living room. Again, I probably wouldn't have got into the Channel 7 incarnation unless it was on straight after 24 (which is one of the few shows I go out of my way to watch these days). But whatever the case, I've got into 110% Tony Squires now.
Besides the light comedy, they have some pretty good panel discussions regarding current issues in sport. Another favourite of mine is Sam Kekovich's minute long segment 'Kick Keka to Kanberra', which I'm still trying to work out if he's serious about being a politician or not.
Anyway, it might be on a bit late, but I find this a nice way to unwind at the end of a long hard Monday (the official gheyest day of the week). Plus it gives me something sports related to enjoy while I wait for the next episode of The Footy Show. I recommend taking a look if anyone hasn't all ready.
PS: This should probably be in the TV Forum, but it's a show about sports, so let's let it slide.
