I know it's still (relatively) early days yet, but everyone usually has atleast a fav to win.
So who do you reckon will be the premiers this year?
I keep hoping the Warriors will come good, but they're just disappointing week in and week out, looking like internal problems to me.
I'm hoping that the Storm might do it again, they've been playing some good football and I reckon they might be an outside shot if they keep lifting.
But my money is on a Roosters/Brisbane Grand Final atm, Brisbane is consistently impressive, and Easts, while being a pack of gits, are also a good side. Bulldogs I hope will burn in hell where they belong.

i don't think newcastle can win it, they are just too inconsistent without Johns
i'd like dragons to do it, but i can only see then reaching the semis or the prelims. still, that would be a successful season for them.
i think penrith roosters and bulldogs will be the main contenders come finals time. and it will be rigged to give Freddy a perfect send off :P

its really hard to call this year a lotta teams are stepping up with their new fill in players and also a few teams who have been good in the past are giving crappy performances...
i hope taht the broncs do win... but it seems unlikey... but maybe tahts just cause i want em to win so bad...
ill go with the roosters or the dogs...

i rekn it'll be a penrith vs broncos final, hopefully with broncos comming out on top ;)
If the dragons could find some consistent form they'd definately be in finals contention, last nights game was dismal but when they won 4 in a row they were playing some awesome footy. Could be the suprise of the season I think.

dragons always have a horror injuries list
if they could overcome that i think we'd see them back in to form
Roosters are the favs atm, go the COWBOYS!

Dragons are just so damn inconsistent, they never quite match up to the sum of their parts.
Bulldogs have been ****e lately, but I reckon even if they get back into form they'll still choke. I think Broncos are pound for pound the best team in the comp at the moment, especially considering they have 7 players out and are still playing damn good football. Sure they lost to the Knights, but the Knights were playing some of the best football I've seen them play, with or without Johns. Johns just isn't that great, I wish people would realise there's more to a side then just him.
I still reckon Melbourne could be in with an outside chance, Slater is an absolute star in the making, next Lockyer for sure.

true, but it doesnt help when most of your 'parts' are out injured
they are in big trouble now that ryles and bailey and barrett are out!!!

yeah that's a massive part of it, not only for the obvious reasons but also cause it's really hard for a team to gel together when they can't practice together. I've never liked the Dragons, but I do agree they would do a damn good job if they could just get a bit of luck. Seems like they never recovered from losing to the Storm in that grand final (still the best i can remember seeing, not just cause i support the Storm lol)
And yeah this weekend was a shocker for games, the Newcastle/Broncos game was the only quality football I saw.
