View Full Version : Sydney burst the St. Kilda bubble
After 11 rounds, the Saints have finally registered their first loss for season 2004 against Sydney today. The emphatic loss comes somewhat interestingly after Grant Thomas chose to skip the Wednesday training session to instead send the the team to go and see The Day After Tomorrow.
I guess that's the last time the Saints will skip training in favour of lazing about.

saints looked a bit flat
perhaps deliberate by thomas
because now they've had a loss, they can focus on the rest of the season instead of all this talk about being undefeated.
also serves as a reality check for the players, and they'll be even hungrier now.

even tho im not a st. kilda supporter its probably better that it happens now, give em a dose of reality, bring em back down and hopefully they'll get they're edge back.
would hate to go into a grand final thinking your god....
Good for them? Maybe.
Deliberate? I doubt it. Noone loses on purpose.

but will missing one training session of of the many they have a week really make much of a difference?

this wasnt the first time they have opted outta training...
a week or two before they only did like very very light kisking or sumthing and they still won..
i guess its just the media trying to find fault in a well oiled mahine taht is being driven by grant thomas.
