The Richmond Football Club has confirmed defender Ty Zantuck has been charged with using his mobile phone while driving.
The club says there have been further allegations the 22-year-old was driving without a current driver's licence.
The club's major sponsors, the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and phone company Motorola, have been informed of the infringements.
It is believed that Zantuck was spotted by police after an AFL clinic on Friday night.
The TAC is already reviewing club sponsorship in light of other player driving indiscretions.
