Best AFL Grand Final ever?

I would have to say the 1989 Geelong vs Hawthorn one.

Dermie suffered 2 broken ribs in the first minutes (kept on playing), Dipper suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung (played for an entire quarter), MASSIVE brawls, Dermie running through the Geelong pack at half time, and Gary Ablett putting on a starring role in a losing team, as Geelong went down by one goal.

Gotta watch that one again, I reckon.

2002 was pretty good. Not the best ever, but probably the only one in recent years that wasn't completely one-sided.

Pity about the rematch.

holy crap, teq, easily the best grandfinal ive ever seen, i'd love to say '92 and '94 (coz i was there) but hawthorn came back from was it 6 goals? at 3 qtr time to win by a goal? best gf ive ever seen, wish it would happen more often (02 was good also)

My highschool english teacher was Peter Curren (he played in that grandfinal i think) and yer one time close to the exams he ended up showing us the game.....I have to agree, even though im an essendon supporter, that was one of the best grandfinals i had ever watched.
