i was wondering if italy could be removed from the cycle, all it encourages is camping via both sides. Italy is to one sided for the terrorist imo which leads to massive team stacks when the map starts.

nuke was previously in the map rotation but was replaced with italy due to not enough player spawns. I reckon if they cant get a good enough map that can hold 30-32 players at once they should just leave it as is perhaps.

I hope we never use Oilrig. If it had to be a VIP map though... maybe Tundra as the maps big enough for 32 I think..

They did do that for nuke, but the map would crash the server or something? Just basically didn't work out well.

^_^ i dont know how hard uz tried to fix nuke..... but .... i still say that it shoulda been added... and since it didnt work.. we shoulda had a recount/revote =)

The funmaps are usually to small meaning adding extra spawn points is out of the question.

I would still like to see italy out of the rotation whether a new map replaces it or not. The general consensus when we are in the server on italy is that most people dislike the map.

as_oilrig is hands down the most fun map ever, highrise, that was a cool as_ map too even with the bugged as hell elevator.

i sigh whenever italy comes on. personal opinion...

what i do know and said long before other maps were put on is this. get a solid map rotation and leave it, the one we had was tried and proven. the other maps are fun a few times but then you start checking timeleft after every round :|. u said ninja put it on for you? how bout keep the old maps, and when admin is present do a random mapchange to change it up a bit. i did it the other night to de_airstrip, every had fun,however if that map was in rotation i guarantee someone would come complain.

There was nothing wrong with the map rotation before, other than it may have been small, which is why they brought new maps in. but i say go back to the old map rotation. ide rather play assault than italy lol.

man dis is stupid... finally ninja decides to allow a new map in rotation... and this happens... doesnt look good... most people knew dis would happen.!
but i dont blame it... i dont mind italy .. but still.. it shouldnt have been added due to nuke not working.. in the interest of fairness ... shoulda done a revote.. and give people a 2nd chance to change their votes after having a good think about it!
i know i made the mistake not knowing what uz ment by "multichoice vote" ... i woulda voted for more den 1 map @ the time ! =P (and none woulda been italy)
but all i can say... is ... add oilrig... ders no need for a discussion. but .. but.. i would settle for a revote ^_^ and get more than 60 or so people to vote!

if thats the case... just put 1 random map a week/fortnight... no need for a poll... just let the maps chosen have its time.. eg. the maps dat were up for votes.
1st week = cs_italy week 2or4 = de_what eva week 3or6 = cs_office week 4or8 = de_blahblah and so on =)

i like playing italy on arma
its a fresh change from the other maps which get repetitive

i will point out that italy is always full
and when other maps such as cbbl come on people leave :p

italy has been a success
the only one bad thing about it is the terrible opera music that you have to listen to while spawning on t :(

i usually see 24ppl while italy is on... but only sometimes 32...

is it possible to move italy after Inferno?? so it will be old rotation and add italy before de_dust

I say, remove italy and get back to the usual rotation, i dont even know why we needed a new map anyway? *shrugg* if having a new map is a MUST...i say de_dawn :D de_ maps are so much more suited to the 32 servers then the cs_ maps.

Due to a recent steam update that updated Italy, Italy now only holds 20,
in its place iv added oilrig for the moment.

until other maps are tested & edited to make sure all spawn points are active
& in good distance from each other, we make do.
