He'll definitely be in the twenty20 side, he's won the last two VIC games by himself and looks to do so again, currently 42 n.o against SA.

Hussey is a god! Another man of the match surely.
50 (37) + he took 1/3 + 2 catches including the match winner. Ill break Hayden's legs now if I have to.

Aus team confirmed.
http://cricket.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=40599
Australian opener Matthew Hayden has failed in his bid to recuperate from a hamstring injury and will be replaced by debutant Chris Rogers for the third Test against India in Perth.
And in other selection news, spinner Brad Hogg has been dropped to make way for paceman Shaun Tait as Australia looks to unleash a pace barrage on the Indians.

aus are using the tactic of not giving the indians any balls to face so they cant make any runs :horse:
on the other hand, less balls means less chance of india getting themselves out lol.

Johnson is a hack. Now way did he deserve a wicket. Clark and Lee beat the outside edge of Sehwag about 10 times each. He got lucky.

very interesting stage in the match atm.
3 whole days left. india has 9 wickets and 180 run lead.
what do they do? make a lead of 450 in a day and give themselves 2days to try and bowl the aussies out - which is risky considering the aussies might well be able to make 450 with a good start on the 4th day.
or do they bat it out and just go for a draw.
Dukey
17-01-2008, 10:17 PM

thats one thing that u dont wont wanna do with any teams facing aus in this kinda position.
u don't play against Australia hoping for a draw (ie. england last year in the 2nd ashes test or the last test gone by).
Australia of all teams has the one ability to pull one out of their arse :D

Australia 2.60
Draw 12.00
India 1.68
That draw is almost too tempting. I will have to think this over.
Edit: Im thinking india will be too afraid to lose this from a winning position again. They will pile on the runs and only leave enough time for them to bowl Australia out, not letting Australia even have a chance of winning. Australia being the class team they are shouldnt have to bad innings in a row.
mmmm lots to think about.

its still very possible that aus can win. u dont get to being the best team in the world for the better part of a decade without having the ability to scrap out a hard win.
3 days is an eternity in cricket, anything can happen.
the match hangs in the balance of the big 5 indians - dravid, tendulkar, sehwag, laxman and ganguly.

FFS its Clark, get it right. There's like 3 of you in this thread that always call him Clarke.
But yeah, I cannot believe he doesnt get the new ball and he's ranked the best fast bowler in the world. Johnson must be blowing Pointing or the Coach cause it makes no sense.

Id expect Cricket Australia to come out and request the sacking of Asad Rauf for those poor decisions.
