iPGN-Comp Auto Launch Script

Ok guys, a while ago I wrote a script for myself and some... umm... 'special friends' that will pick up all the current iPGN-Comp game details (only if you are playing of course) and launch your CS, set your name and rates and connect to the server. It will also tell you in console which team you are on.

First you'll need to download the script here. Then extract it to your mIRC directory and type /load -rs iPGNauto.mrc in any IRC window. When you've done that an options dialog will appear which you need to fill in properly.



Once you've joined a game and you receive the details, a dialog like the one below will appear (the pass will be correct of course). You can either choose to click 'OK' and it will launch then, or it will launch after 10 seconds.



Your CS will then open and you'll be connected to the server.

i dont want my rates auto set to 60

you can change what you want it to set your rates to, or remove it so it doesn't change your rates at all

  write $shortfn(%ipgn.dir) $+ ipgn.cfg cl_cmdrate "60"
  write $shortfn(%ipgn.dir) $+ ipgn.cfg cl_updaterate "60"
  write $shortfn(%ipgn.dir) $+ ipgn.cfg rate "9999"

Look for those lines in the code and change appropriatly.

Although it would be good if everyone used the script and no one changed the rates, everyone with the same rates would make for better gameplay.

And good work with the script guys, now wont have to wait for people with it to connect, just have to wait for them to join a team

not everyone wants or needs 60/60
i personally prefer 41/41

Mickey you avatar is hypnotic, just thought i'd add that.

I suppose people who don't want to run those rates will change it/remove it or just not use the script, should of just not told anyone it changed rates

Whoa wait up sahboo
that last one would be considered a "dellast script" which is bannable.
I reccomend you alter that so it acts as the thread is titled, "Auto Launch" not "Auto Join"
