if guns are already prevalent in American society, telling people to not carry them is irresponsible and dangerous. the responsible and law abiding people will leave their guns at home, but what about the bad seeds and general rednecks? they will continue to carry their guns and will continue to be a constant threat to the rest of the law abiding and now unarmed community.

now i am in no way saying guns are good, or that everyone carrying guns around is a good solution to the issue of personal safety, but due to the situation that america finds itself in, its the only logical solution.

Security

Concealed
Sport
Hunting
Feral animal population control
Wild animal population control in rural areas to help create a sustainable Eco system
Wild animal population control in outlying suburbs of towns and cities

In what area is your issue? Take your blinkers off and have a look at the big picture before making a statement like that.

I used to go hunting on a friends property. I haven't been there in over 5 years and he has had to hire professional shooters to reduce the over population of feral and wild animals in his area.

I have seen the damage that is caused by overpopulation of animals. I have seen the damage a firearm can do if not handled correctly. What is better, ignorance or experience? I prefer experience as I know what can happen if people around me decide to do something stupid.

I better stop here, but please think before making what I consider absolutely ridiculous statements.

I'm not fussed either way. People that want guns are able to get them, I could get a gun tomorrow if I was so inclined and I bet a lot of people are the same.

What more needs to be said. In the US, It's your god given right to bare arms but sadly it seems that same god does not grant you with the intelligence required to own one.

It doesn't matter that you are OK with guns, its the fact there are milllions of others who are not capable of proper ownership and the case above is unfortunately what happens.

Hypothetically - If your son killed my daughter by accident because you left your gun lying around, then you would beg for a bullet in the head after what i'd do to you.

Guns are not a neccessary reqiurement of living. Particularly in first world countries.

Just because you carry a gun does not mean you become the police if someone starts shooting... There are trained professionals for this job.
