Attorney Joan Vorster of Stonington has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The induction ceremony took place during the recent Spring Meeting of the College in Coronado, California. The Chelsea University Business Academy, offered through Chelsea Groton Bank’s financial education program and in partnership with the Mystic Chamber of Commerce, is a free educational series that will provide prospective and current business owners with training and expert advice in many areas needed to start or maintain a business.

All classes will be offered in person at Chelsea Groton’s Mystic Branch, 2 Water St., Mystic, and via Zoom, through March 30. On Mondays and Thursdays, Lunch and Learn sessions will occur from noon–1 p.m., and on Wednesday evenings classes will occur at 5 and 6 p.m. The instructor-led curriculum was developed jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
