Newcomerstown residents Amy and Mitch Barron owners of Barron Design Co.

made a business decision based on their faith in God this past Christmas

season.

As a Christian family, the Barron’s had been praying for some time about Mitch resigning his job outside the home, and making Barron Design a full-time career for both Amy and himself. Barron Design began seven years ago as a hobby creative/outlet for Amy, and a way she could be a stay-at-home mom, but also enjoy her love of crafting. The business

grew by leaps and bounds to the point where with Amy knew recently that she required assistance to continue adding new items to her line of products.

Amy, Mitch, and their children Zoey, Cylas, and Jasper turned to God for the answer.

“For us it was praying to have Daddy home and available for family times, sporting events, and other occasions he missed while working on the road, and for me to have the perfect business partner,” Amy noted. “Who other than Mitch would possess the amount of pride I do in Barron Design?

“God led us here, and we have faith in his guidance. I think Mitch and I are very fortunate to be building something together where we have the same goals, passions, and dreams.”

“In addition to assisting Amy on my down-time over the years, my favorite part of the business has been tagging along as she makes deliveries so I can see the reactions of our customers when they view for the first time an item that will no doubt become a family heirloom, or a sign that will enhance their business,” Mitch added. These reasons in addition to God’s blessing is why I made the decision to unite with Amy full-time at Barron Design Co. as of Jan. 1.”

Instagram Facebook and messages to both are a great way to place your order or start the ordering process. Inquiries and orders can also be sent via email at barrondesignco@gmail.com or you can call or text at 330-204-6660. Barron Design Co. does have an Esty Shop, and is are keeping track of all the states from which orders are received. Items are designed for individuals, as well as Barron Design Co. connects with area photographers to provide frames and other items, in addition to originating employee gifts for area companies.

“We offer the ability to customize any space that you desire, with your favorite sayings,  and we can now print and frame your beautiful family photos, and yard/advertising signs for your business,” Amy pointed out. “We can even preserve your family heirlooms including handwritten recipes digitized and engraved or printed onto cutting boards and signs  Mitch and I offer a level of one on one customer service not often found these days.  In addition, we have recently purchased a UV printer allowing our business to reach other markets such as photo prints, welcome mats, and yard signs. It has also

permitted us not only to speed up the process, but has made the quality top notch.”

“Our family is now highlighting videos on our Facebook page, showcasing to customers the quality of the products designed and created by Barron Design Co.,” Mitch said. “Because we only sell online, by viewing our videos, you have a better understanding of the process and love that goes into each piece. Another feature we bring to the Facebook video is laughter, fun, faith, and family because these aspects are just as important as our business, and we want people to associate our family with our brand.”

These are a few of the offerings from Amy and Mitch Barron.

The Barron’s are self-taught in woodworking techniques, software design and laser cutter and printer operations. Internet and YouTube videos have been a big help during the learning process.

The Barrons takes pride in supporting their community and others sustaining their family and business.

“We love donating to school and community benefit auctions and assisting with fundraisers. Amy and I have always wanted to have our own business and we are doing so right here in our home shop,” added Mitch. “It is a blessing to be here surrounded by our children, in addition to being an important part of the area business communities we serve.”

Amy and Mitch end by saying: “Our kids also love being a part of the business and join in whenever they can.  In our downtime, we relish in attending our children’s sporting and other events plus family game nights, outdoor activities, metal detecting and cooking.  As a family, we would like to take this time to thank all of our customers.  We have many repeat ones, and we appreciate each and every one of you. If you haven’t checked us out yet, please do. We are happy to help you with any ideas you may have for that special gift, sign, or treasured heirloom for a loved one.”
